After living the high life of a poker playing gambler, Stu Unger (Michael Imperioli) was overwhelmed by the excesses his lifestyle celebrated. Telling his life story to a stranger (Michael Pasternak) in a seedy hotel room, he recounts his childhood and the events that made him want to taste life in a big way. Becoming a high roller in poker to make quick money, he finds his ability and talent allows him to burn the candle at both ends. He never sleeps, nor eats, but is always ready to take on another gambler. His relationships, as they are, suffer. Only gambling with the big impresarios of the game like Mr. Leo (Pat Morita) matter to him as he spirals into a game of death.
