A story about luck and survival in the midst of dangerous gambles. Sam (Max Von Sydow) is a survivor of the horrors of World War II, and with his propensity for luck runs an underground casino. One of his workers, Federico (Eusebio Poncela), is also a very lucky man, in fact he steals another's luck by touching them. When Sam becomes angry with Federico and sends him off, Federico is determined to steal the luck of the luckiest man alive. The luckiest man alive is Tomas (Leonardo Sbaraglia), who survived a horrendous airplane accident. Federico is determined to use his ability to steal Tomas's luck and then use it to take down Sam in the shady gambling underworld. All the while a cop, Sara (Monica Lopez), desperately tracks Sam and Federico through the underworld to try and stop them.
